The alumni association of Bishop Anstey High School, Port-of-Spain (BAHS) held its annual luncheon on July 4, 2026, to benefit the school’s roof.
Familiarly known as The Bishop Mafia, the event was themed The Gathering: Return of the Mafia, in keeping with the gathering of the sisterhood as a family tradition.
Like true mafia bosses, some sisters donned traditional mafia-favoured fedora and homburg hats, while others modernised the look. Accessories were also a hit, ranging from the school tie to suspenders, pearls and a toy version of a favourite mafia weapon—the Thompson submachine gun.
The sisters delivered their plan for a haute couture occasion of fashion on and off the catwalk, with emphasis on the school’s brand colours of red, black, navy blue and white.
Also present was an excited former teacher, 101-year-old Audrey McDowell, who did her thing from her wheelchair. New president of the alumni association, Camille Dalton-Frederick, wished to thank her team and the BAHS family.
