On June 24, the JT Al­lum Group cel­e­brat­ed a his­toric mile­stone—90 years of busi­ness ex­cel­lence—with a grand gala at the new­ly launched Le Rêve Con­fer­ence Cen­tre at C3 Cen­tre. The evening brought to­geth­er a gath­er­ing of busi­ness lead­ers, gov­ern­ment of­fi­cials, and val­ued part­ners to ho­n­our the lega­cy and fu­ture of one of T&T’s most icon­ic fam­i­ly-owned con­glom­er­ates.

Found­ed in 1934, the JT Al­lum Group has been a pil­lar of T&T’s eco­nom­ic and so­cial de­vel­op­ment for nine decades. From its roots in the su­per­mar­ket in­dus­try, the Group has evolved in­to a dy­nam­ic, di­ver­si­fied en­ter­prise with strong foot­prints in re­al es­tate de­vel­op­ment, food re­tail, event host­ing, and agri­cul­ture.

To­day, the Group op­er­ates JTA Su­per­mar­kets, a trust­ed name serv­ing com­mu­ni­ties across the coun­try, and con­tin­ues to shape the com­mer­cial land­scape through de­vel­op­ments such as the flag­ship C3 Cen­tre.

Un­der the stew­ard­ship of three gen­er­a­tions of the Mack fam­i­ly, the Group has con­sis­tent­ly em­braced in­no­va­tion, nav­i­gat­ed change, and in­vest­ed in ven­tures that strength­en both busi­ness and so­ci­ety. Look­ing ahead, the JT Al­lum Group is pur­su­ing am­bi­tious plans for ex­pan­sion in­to man­u­fac­tur­ing and hos­pi­tal­i­ty, fur­ther re­in­forc­ing its com­mit­ment to sus­tain­able growth and na­tion­al progress.

The evening’s pro­gramme fea­tured re­marks from Sen­a­tor Satyaka­ma Ma­haraj, Min­is­ter of Trade, In­vest­ment and Tourism; Christo­pher Mack, ex­ec­u­tive chair­man of the JT Al­lum Group; and Carl Mack, chair­man emer­i­tus. To­geth­er, they re­flect­ed on the Group’s re­mark­able jour­ney and shared a bold, for­ward-look­ing vi­sion for the fu­ture.

A spe­cial high­light of the night was the Spe­cial Recog­ni­tion and Life­time Achieve­ment Awards Cer­e­mo­ny, which ho­n­oured out­stand­ing em­ploy­ees and long-stand­ing ten­ants who have played piv­otal roles in the Group’s suc­cess. A Chi­nese drag­on dance and drum per­for­mance added cul­tur­al rich­ness and sym­bol­ic bless­ings to the fes­tiv­i­ties.

The en­ter­tain­ment for the evening was equal­ly mem­o­rable. Guests were treat­ed to a per­for­mance by Guin­ness World Record hold­er Joshua Re­grel­lo, the mu­si­cal stylings of An­dre Don­awa, and pow­er­ful vo­cals from Wendy Shep­pard and Wen­dell Con­stan­tine. The event was host­ed by Mas­ter of Cer­e­monies Natasha Jones.

Set against the el­e­gant back­drop of the Le Rêve Con­fer­ence Cen­tre, the 90th an­niver­sary gala was a trib­ute to a Group that has shaped in­dus­tries, em­pow­ered com­mu­ni­ties, and in­spired gen­er­a­tions.
