T&T creativity on show in Traces of Us

The Art So­ci­ety of Trinidad and To­ba­go host­ed the open­ing of its An­nu­al May Mem­bers’ Ex­hi­bi­tion, Traces of Us, on May 6. The event was a cel­e­bra­tion of lo­cal artistry, at­tract­ing a large crowd of art en­thu­si­asts, com­mu­ni­ty mem­bers, and sup­port­ers of the arts.

Guests en­joyed an im­pres­sive dis­play of over 70 pieces cre­at­ed by tal­ent­ed mem­ber artists, show­cas­ing a va­ri­ety of medi­ums in­clud­ing char­coal, graphite, gouache, wa­ter­colour, acrylic, oil, mixed me­dia, up­cy­cled met­al, wood, and pho­tog­ra­phy. The ex­hi­bi­tion high­lights the rich cre­ativ­i­ty and di­verse ex­pres­sions of Trinidad and To­ba­go’s artis­tic com­mu­ni­ty.

The evening was filled with en­gag­ing con­ver­sa­tions as at­ten­dees ex­plored the art­works and con­nect­ed with the artists be­hind them. The ex­hi­bi­tion will re­main open to the pub­lic un­til May 29 dur­ing gallery hours, which are Tues­days to Sat­ur­days from 12 noon to 6 pm.

The Art So­ci­ety en­cour­ages every­one to vis­it the ex­hi­bi­tion and sup­port lo­cal cul­ture, cel­e­brat­ing the artis­tic jour­neys of their mem­bers and the sto­ries con­veyed through their work.
