The Interclub of Trinidad and Tobago (Women Working Together) will be holding An Afternoon Tea today at the Hyatt to commemorate International Women’s Day. There will be live entertainment, an auction and a 360 photo booth from 3 pm to 6 pm. It will be the group’s 22nd annual event. Dr Jacqueline Perreira-Sabga is the club’s Woman of the Year awardee.
WE received statements from both the club’s resident and vice president.
“The InterClub stands proudly as an umbrella organisation for over 20 NGOs throughout Trinidad and Tobago. As we celebrate IWD 2024 we stand true to our objectives of supporting our members in improving the lives of women who are vulnerable and underserved in our local communities. We are a true representation of women working together, investing in each other to promote and accelerate the change that we need to progress as women in our society.”
– Justine Aboud-Chamely, president of InterClub
“As vice president of InterClub, I am honoured to recognise International Women’s Day, a day that resonates deeply with our mission. This year’s theme calls on us to ‘Inspire Inclusion’, a principle that is at the heart of what we strive for–ensuring women are not only present but heard and empowered within corporate boards and beyond. InterClub is dedicated to breaking down barriers and building bridges for women, advocating for a world where equity is not an aspiration but a reality. Together, let’s commit to making inclusion an integral part of our blueprint, inspiring change and fostering an environment where every voice is valued.”
