Xtra Foods brought to­geth­er women from across com­mu­ni­ties for a cel­e­bra­tion of em­pow­er­ment, re­silience and the trans­for­ma­tive im­pact of women in so­ci­ety dur­ing a spe­cial event in com­mem­o­ra­tion of In­ter­na­tion­al Women’s Day at its South Park, San Fer­nan­do lo­ca­tion last Fri­day.

The event cre­at­ed a vi­brant plat­form for di­a­logue, in­spi­ra­tion and con­nec­tion re­flect­ing this year’s theme, #Give­To­Gain, which high­light­ed the pow­er of gen­eros­i­ty, men­tor­ship and shared progress in ad­vanc­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties for women and girls.

The event fea­tured an en­gag­ing line­up of speak­ers, in­clud­ing Miss Uni­verse T&T Lat­i­fah Mor­ris, Pret­ty Tough Project founder Priya Ram­di­al, Women In Mo­tor­sport TT vice chair Ce­leste Ga­jad­har, who each of­fered unique per­spec­tives on per­son­al de­vel­op­ment, in­no­va­tion and the im­por­tance of break­ing bar­ri­ers for women.

There were al­so vi­brant per­for­mances from Leean­na Dass and Nikhi­la Ma­haraj of the 411 Dance The­atre, as well as a pow­er­ful spo­ken word pre­sen­ta­tion by Gabrielle Ab­dool.

The event wel­comed a di­verse au­di­ence, in­clud­ing stu­dents from the Uni­ver­si­ty of T&T, whose pres­ence re­flect­ed the im­por­tance of en­gag­ing and in­spir­ing the next gen­er­a­tion of lead­ers. Guests and cus­tomers al­so en­joyed prod­uct sam­plings and give­aways.

Xtra Foods CEO An­ge­lo Daniel Austin em­pha­sised the com­pa­ny’s con­tin­ued com­mit­ment to cel­e­brat­ing and sup­port­ing women.
