T&T soca sensation Yung Bredda (Akhenaton Lewis) says he is “humbled and excited” as his runaway hit, The Greatest Bend Over (Take It Easy), gets a fresh spin with a star-studded remix featuring US R&B/Pop powerhouse Chlöe Bailey and Ghanaian viral star Moliy. The remix promises to take the anthem’s global momentum to even higher heights.
Already crowned the sound of the summer across the Caribbean and beyond, the remix sees Chlöe and Moliy layering their distinctive melodic styles onto the infectious Big Links Riddim, produced by T&T hitmakers Full Blown Entertainment.
The buzz went international last week when Billboard’s HipHop Instagram page dropped the exclusive, placing Yung Bredda’s remix alongside trending global music news—from Drake and UMG’s legal showdown to Eminem’s latest lyrical challenge.
In an interview, Bredda reflected on the whirlwind journey:
“The excitement surrounding the new remix is very humbling… I work very hard and expect great results, but I really couldn’t predict all of this happening so quickly. I give thanks to God for that.
“I met Chlöe in Barbados and Moliy in Jamaica during Reggae Sumfest, and both of them are calm, cool and humble people, just like me. That made it easy to connect. I’m grateful they came on board to help take soca to new levels and share our music and culture with the world.”
The numbers speak for themselves: over 20 million streams, 92,000 TikTok creations, and counting. Now, with the Chlöe x Moliy remix dropping under the 0207 Def Jam/Polydor label, the anthem is primed to dominate the UK Carnival season.
Accompanying the remix is an official music video which captures the energy of Caribbean celebration with vibrant scenes from Barbados’ Crop Over festival—serving pure Carnival vibes for a global audience.
First released in December 2024, The Greatest Bend Over (Take It Easy) quickly became the year’s breakout soca anthem. The momentum intensified during T&T’s 2025 Carnival, where Yung Bredda’s high-octane performances carried him to second place in the Ultimate Soca Champion finale.
Media support has also been pivotal: BBC 1Xtra, Capital Xtra, and Spotify’s Who We Be playlist have all championed the track. Meanwhile, TikTok has turned the song into the fastest-growing soca record across the Caribbean, powered by user-generated content that continues to spread its reach.
This latest remix comes on the heels of Yung Bredda’s UK tour, which included a fiery performance at Matt’s BBQ Festival alongside Jamaican dancehall star Ding Dong.
With Chlöe and Moliy now adding their voices and visuals to the movement, The Greatest Bend Over (Take It Easy) has transcended Carnival anthem status. It’s now positioning itself as a certified global smash—a milestone moment for soca music on the world stage.
