Rahim Mohammed has been appointed as the deputy CEO of Angostura Holdings Ltd.

In a post to the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange website on Monday, Angostura reported that its board of directors had agreed to the inclusion of the position of deputy CEO within the company’s executive management structure.

The notice reported that Mohammed, who has previously been the company’s executive manager for business efficiency and shared services was appointed to the position of deputy CEO with effect from April 25, 2024.

Mohammed’s new role comes a few months after former Angostura CEO Laurent Schun’s contract expired on January 17, 2025. Schun was appointed Angostura CEO on January 20, 2023. However, he moved to Miami in August 2024, where he operated “solely in an advisory capacity in respect of specific aspects of the company’s international business development.”

Since then, the operations of Angostura in Trinidad and Tobago had been largely managed by Mohammed in his capacity of executive manager, chief operating officer Ian Forbes and group general counsel/corporate secretary Kathryna Baptiste Assee.

The Guardian reached out to Angostura concerning the appointment of a new CEO via email yesterday but was still awaiting a response up to the time of publication.
