ANSA McAL has ap­point­ed Na­tal­ie Abra­hams as ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor, Bar­ba­dos and the Or­gan­i­sa­tion of East­ern Caribbean States (OECS), in a new­ly cre­at­ed role aimed at strength­en­ing the group’s pres­ence and growth across the East­ern Caribbean.

The ap­point­ment takes ef­fect on Oc­to­ber 1, 2026, and Abra­hams would re­port di­rect­ly to the group chief op­er­at­ing of­fi­cer.

Ac­cord­ing to ANSA McAL, she would serve as the com­pa­ny’s se­nior rep­re­sen­ta­tive in Bar­ba­dos and the East­ern Caribbean, sup­port­ing the group’s strate­gic ob­jec­tives through­out the re­gion.

In an­nounc­ing the ap­point­ment, ANSA McAL Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer An­tho­ny N Sab­ga III said the com­pa­ny is con­fi­dent that Abra­hams’ ex­ten­sive lead­er­ship ex­pe­ri­ence and re­gion­al ex­per­tise would help dri­ve its am­bi­tions in the mar­ket.

Her re­spon­si­bil­i­ties would in­clude strength­en­ing stake­hold­er re­la­tion­ships, ad­vanc­ing re­gion­al growth op­por­tu­ni­ties, sup­port­ing ex­ter­nal af­fairs and ad­vo­ca­cy ini­tia­tives, and fos­ter­ing greater col­lab­o­ra­tion among ANSA McAL com­pa­nies op­er­at­ing through­out Bar­ba­dos and the OECS.

Abra­hams brings more than 25 years of lead­er­ship ex­pe­ri­ence span­ning telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions, en­er­gy, con­sumer goods, pro­fes­sion­al ser­vices and in­ter­na­tion­al de­vel­op­ment.

Through­out her ca­reer, she has led ma­jor trans­for­ma­tion projects, dri­ven busi­ness growth and man­aged high-per­form­ing teams across mul­ti­ple sec­tors.

Most re­cent­ly, she served as chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer of Dig­i­cel Bar­ba­dos, where she over­saw one of the com­pa­ny’s high­est rev­enue-gen­er­at­ing mar­kets and guid­ed the roll­out of Bar­ba­dos’ 5G net­work.

Pri­or to that, she held se­nior lead­er­ship po­si­tions at the Bar­ba­dos Light and Pow­er Com­pa­ny and Price­wa­ter­house­C­oop­ers, where she was re­spon­si­ble for com­plex trans­for­ma­tion ini­tia­tives and large-scale strate­gic pro­grammes.

The com­pa­ny not­ed that Abra­hams is al­so wide­ly re­spect­ed for her con­tri­bu­tions to na­tion­al and re­gion­al de­vel­op­ment.

She has served on sev­er­al pub­lic and pri­vate sec­tor boards and ad­vi­so­ry bod­ies, in­clud­ing Bar­ba­dos’ Dig­i­tal Trans­for­ma­tion Board, the Bar­ba­dos Cham­ber of Com­merce and In­dus­try and the Bar­ba­dos Em­ploy­ers’ Con­fed­er­a­tion.

Com­ment­ing on the ap­point­ment, Sab­ga said Abra­hams’ blend of com­mer­cial ex­per­tise, strate­gic in­sight and re­gion­al ex­pe­ri­ence makes her an ide­al fit for the role.

“Her ex­cep­tion­al com­bi­na­tion of strate­gic in­sight, com­mer­cial acu­men, re­gion­al ex­per­tise, cou­pled with her proven abil­i­ty to build strong stake­hold­er re­la­tion­ships and dri­ve trans­for­ma­tion­al growth, makes her unique­ly po­si­tioned to help ad­vance ANSA McAL’s am­bi­tions in Bar­ba­dos and the wider East­ern Caribbean,” he said.

Abra­hams holds an MBA spe­cial­is­ing in Hu­man Re­sources Man­age­ment from Heri­ot-Watt Uni­ver­si­ty and a First Class Ho­n­ours de­gree in Man­age­ment Stud­ies from the Uni­ver­si­ty of the West In­dies Cave Hill Cam­pus.

She has al­so com­plet­ed ex­ec­u­tive de­vel­op­ment pro­grammes at the Richard Ivey School of Busi­ness and the Cave Hill School of Busi­ness.
