The ANSA McAL group has announced that Padma De Lima has been appointed as managing director, Guyana Breweries Inc.
In a notice, the group confirmed the appointment would take effect on October 1 2026.
ANSA McAL chief executive officer, Anthony N Sabga III, stated in the notice that she will report directly to the sector head, beverage. Adrian N Sabga was sector head, beverage for the group in July.
The ANSA McAL CEO said, “Guyana continues to be a market of significant opportunity and strong growth for the beverage sector, and Padma will have the pleasure of leading a highly capable team on the ground as the business enters its next era of development.
She brings more than 17 years of experience within the group, having built a diverse career spanning consumer goods, construction, sales, marketing, and general commercial management.”
He added, “Padma’s appointment as managing director, Guyana Breweries Inc, represents the next step in a career marked by progressive leadership and strong commercial performance. She brings to the role a deep understanding of the group, extensive commercial experience and demonstrated ability to lead high performing teams, build long-term partnerships, and translate strategy into measurable results.”
The notice explained that before her recent appointment as general manager, ANSA McAL Distribution Inc., De Lima served as divisional head, food and consumer.
