Caribbean Airlines (CAL) has announced that effective August 15, 2025, customers would have non-stop service between Dominica and Puerto Rico, up to three times weekly.
Additionally, the airline has increased non-stop flights between Dominica and Trinidad as part of its enhanced commercial schedule.
“These additional flights facilitate seamless onward connections to/from New York,” CAL said in a release issued yesterday.
It said this latest adjustment reflected the airline’s continued commitment to respond to customer feedback and regional travel needs, adding that the updated schedule will make travel between Dominica, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and New York easier and more convenient, supporting business, leisure, and cultural exchange across the region.
On the initiative, CEO of CAL Garvin Medera, said, “These schedule enhancements are a direct response to market demand and feedback from our valued customers. At Caribbean Airlines, we are focused on delivering a consistent and reliable product and fulfilling our mandate to improve connectivity throughout the Caribbean.”
Caribbean Airlines added it is expected to roll out further schedule updates in the coming days and customers could look out for more convenient travel options starting this summer season.
This follows the airline reintroducing late-night flights between T&T, effective July 1.
CAL had announced via social media that it would resume its late-night flight between the islands, a service that had not operated since the COVID-19 pandemic.
The daily flight leaves Trinidad at 11.30 pm and arrives in Tobago at 11.55 pm. The return flight departs Tobago at 12.30 am and arrives back in Trinidad at 12.55 am.
This adds at least 136 seats to the airbridge (if CAL uses its lower density ATR 72-600s).
Caribbean Airlines had also announced expanded service between Trinidad and Miami, with new flights launching on June 19.
The additional flights would operate on Thursdays and Sundays, giving travellers more flexibility—especially for weekend trips—just in time for the busy July/August vacation season.
The airline added Miami continues to be one of its most popular destinations for shopping, leisure, and short getaways.
Medera, who also spoke on this move, had said, “At Caribbean Airlines, we are always looking for ways to respond to the needs of our customers. When resources allow, we add capacity on popular routes to give more choice and flexibility. These additional Miami flights are part of that commitment, and we are delighted to offer even more opportunities for travel.”
