Carib Brewery Ltd has appointed Leesa Murally-Pantin as its new managing director, effective today, November 1.
Murally-Pantin becomes the first woman to lead the company in its more than 100-year history.
In a statement from Carib yesterday, it said Murally-Pantin, who previously served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer, brings more than 23 years of experience in the beverage sector.
In her time as CFO, she oversaw finance, IT, procurement, and risk management across the region, contributing to Carib Brewery’s operational growth under its 2X Agenda for sustainable performance.
The company said that her professional background includes being a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants since 2002, a Certified Internal Auditor since 2008, and she hold an MBA in Strategic Planning from Heriot-Watt University. She has also undergone executive training in forensic auditing, corporate governance, and boardroom effectiveness.
In addition to her corporate roles, Murally-Pantin has served 15 years on the board of the Caribbean Development Company and currently sits on the board of Republic Wealth Management Limited.
“This is more than a personal milestone. It’s a proud moment for our teams, our community, and our region,” Murally-Pantin said, noting her commitment to leading Carib Brewery through its next phase of growth and innovation.
