Carib Brew­ery Ltd has ap­point­ed Leesa Mu­ral­ly-Pan­tin as its new man­ag­ing di­rec­tor, ef­fec­tive to­day, No­vem­ber 1.

Mu­ral­ly-Pan­tin be­comes the first woman to lead the com­pa­ny in its more than 100-year his­to­ry.

In a state­ment from Carib yes­ter­day, it said Mu­ral­ly-Pan­tin, who pre­vi­ous­ly served as the com­pa­ny’s Chief Fi­nan­cial Of­fi­cer, brings more than 23 years of ex­pe­ri­ence in the bev­er­age sec­tor.

In her time as CFO, she over­saw fi­nance, IT, pro­cure­ment, and risk man­age­ment across the re­gion, con­tribut­ing to Carib Brew­ery’s op­er­a­tional growth un­der its 2X Agen­da for sus­tain­able per­for­mance.

The com­pa­ny said that her pro­fes­sion­al back­ground in­cludes be­ing a Fel­low of the As­so­ci­a­tion of Char­tered Cer­ti­fied Ac­coun­tants since 2002, a Cer­ti­fied In­ter­nal Au­di­tor since 2008, and she hold an MBA in Strate­gic Plan­ning from Heri­ot-Watt Uni­ver­si­ty. She has al­so un­der­gone ex­ec­u­tive train­ing in foren­sic au­dit­ing, cor­po­rate gov­er­nance, and board­room ef­fec­tive­ness.

In ad­di­tion to her cor­po­rate roles, Mu­ral­ly-Pan­tin has served 15 years on the board of the Caribbean De­vel­op­ment Com­pa­ny and cur­rent­ly sits on the board of Re­pub­lic Wealth Man­age­ment Lim­it­ed.
