Guardian Group has donated $200,000 and other items to Hurricane Beryl relief efforts in Jamaica, Grenada, and Carriacou.
The group partnered with the NCB Foundation in Jamaica and the Living Waters Community in T&T to assist with relief efforts.
Employees also provided cases of water, cleaning supplies, baby products, canned food, packaged goods, and hygiene products.
Ayesha Boucaud-Claxton, group head of marketing and communication, stated, “The generous contributions of our employees will be crucial in bringing hope and stability to those impacted by this devastating situation. The actions are a tangible expression of our commitment to providing peace of mind to the communities we serve,” she added.
Guardian Group delivered the donated supplies to the Living Waters Community on July 26, to coordinate dissemination to the affected islands.
Earlier this month, the Government, in collaboration with the private sector, packed a third vessel, the Galleon’s Passage, filled with relief supplies set for Grenada.
Meanwhile, the CAF-Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean donated US$800,000 to the countries impacted by Hurricane Beryl.
CAF’s executive president, Sergio Díaz-Granados, expressed the institution’s solidarity with those affected by the devastating impact of Hurricane Beryl and announced the immediate delivery of donations intended for humanitarian aid and emergency assistance to affected communities.
