Huawei has reaffirmed its commitment to providing innovative smart solutions to any sphere of life in T&T.

This was reflected in its Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Congress which was hosted on Tuesday by Huawei and partner entities and held at the Hyatt Regency, Port-of-Spain .

The event gave stakeholders a first-hand view of the latest technological tools.

Regional marketing manager for Huawei Enterprise Latin America, Adrian Melendez Moreno, said the theme Joining forces for a shared era, underpinned the company’s vision to incorporate technology to strengthen capacities of critical agencies. “This congress shows the customers what Huawei can do to improve efficiencies and accelerate progress in Trinidad. We are using our knowledge and experience working with the best technologies in the industry not only in smart devices but also in enterprise and solutions,” he explained.

In addition to Huawei’s smart devices and cybersecurity systems, he added that one of the exciting pieces of technological infrastructure that was highlighted at the congress included how healthcare institutions can be enhanced. The concept, which seeks to integrate various machines and devices under a single network at a hospital or care facility, allows greater oversight by medical professionals, which provides the best care possible to their patients.

“With the smart campus, we can style different products into WiFi Seven, which is the next level in wifi which can increase the number of devices that can connect to a single browser.

“It’s a new area of utilisation that enhances the capacity for different kinds of devices or machines, screens that allow people to do their job and do it well,” Moreno added.

Also, he said the concept of integrated smart systems can also be applied to airports which enhance the travelling experience for customers with user-friendly digital portals for customers to find their terminals while giving staff more oversight.

Founded in 1987, Huawei is a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices.

It has more than 197,000 employees, and operates in more than 170 countries and regions, serving more than three billion people around the world.
