There will a fresh board in place at Unilever by the turn of the year.
On Monday, the company announced Ignacio Segares has been elected the new Chairman of Unilever Caribbean Limited.
Segares, has been a part of Unilever group for 20 years, and currently holds the position of Vice President - Managing Director of Unilever’s Caricam (Caribbean and Central America) region.
He will replace Rodrigo Sotomayor, who has resigned from the position, to take up the role of Unilever’s General Manager for Colombia.
Sotomayor’s resignation will take effect from December 30, 2022, UCL confirmed in a post on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange.
In that post, UCL also announced the resignation of Jorge Enrique Rodrigues Espinosa and Fabio Murillo Bendeck as directors of the company.
Their resignations will also take effect on December 30, 2022.
Unilever confirmed that Daniela Maria Bucaro and Camilo Trujillo would be appointed as directors from December 31, 2022.
It is the latest significant change for Unilever, which recently placed its Champs Fleurs compound for sale.
Earlier this year, Unilever shut down its manufacturing arm in Trinidad, leading to the retrenchment of over 100 workers.
