Af­ter over a year with­out one, Tourism Trinidad Lim­it­ed (TTL) fi­nal­ly has a board of di­rec­tors.

In a press re­lease shared to so­cial me­dia, the Min­istry of Trade, In­vest­ment and Tourism dis­closed that a new 11-mem­ber board, chaired by Bene­dict Hatem, re­ceived its in­stru­ments of ap­point­ment from the Min­is­ter Satyaka­ma Ma­haraj.

Tourism Trinidad had been with­out a board for near­ly 15 months af­ter the term of the pre­vi­ous board of di­rec­tors end­ed on May 5, 2025.

Ac­cord­ing to the Min­istry post, the board has been charged with lead­ing TTL’s strate­gic di­rec­tion and dri­ving the con­tin­ued growth and glob­al po­si­tion­ing of Trinidad and To­ba­go’s tourism sec­tor.

Hatem, who is the own­er of Wood­ford Cafe restau­rant, said he and his fel­low board mem­bers are com­mit­ted to strength­en­ing the Vis­it Trin­ba­go brand, en­sur­ing it res­onates as a bea­con of ex­cel­lence and au­then­tic­i­ty across the globe.

Well known dancer and chore­o­g­ra­ph­er Michael Saal­ick­ram and so­ca artiste Or­lan­do Oc­tave were al­so named as mem­bers of the board. Oth­er mem­bers of the board in­clude Ren­nie Mo­hammed, Swamy Mor­gan, In­di­ra Ram­baran, Pramil­la Ram­da­hani, Rene Seep­er­sads­ingh, Ka­lene Gar­cia-Gosyne, An­drea Bhag­wan­deen and Vedanand Har­gob­in.
