An unvaccinated person is the latest COVID-19 fatality in Tobago over the past 24 hours, moving the island’s death toll up to 258.
That’s according to the latest update from Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA), dated Monday 28 March 2022.
Before Monday, the most recent deaths were recorded on Saturday 26 March 2022, with the deceased noted as two (2) unvaccinated persons.
In addition, 28 people in Tobago have tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, with these new infections moving the number of current active infections on the island to 438.
The Health Division also is reporting that 12 people currently are hospitalised with COVID-19. Nine (9) of these patients have not been vaccinated at all against the disease, while the other three (3) have been fully vaccinated.
The Tobago COVID-19 update for 28th March 2022 also notes that at present, the total number of people in Tobago who have recovered from COVID-19 since March 2020, now stands at 7,384.
