Eleven (11) additional persons have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of active cases to 1,837 persons.
This has been confirmed by the Ministry of Health in its update for this morning, Thursday 1 October 2020.
The Ministry assures that these 11 new patients will be processed for admission at the discretion of the CMOHs.
It also confirms there have been no new deaths from the disease, leaving the national total still at 76.
In other highlights from this morning’s update:
● More people continue to recover from COVID-19, with ten (10) persons being discharged from public health facilities.
● There are 59 recovered community cases, i.e. persons who were previously COVID-19 positive and in self-isolation at home and subsequently met the discharge criteria and were released from self-isolation.
● The number of COVID-19 Positive Patients in Hospital currently is 114.
● The number of COVID-19 Positive Patients in Step-down / Transition Facilities is ten—in facilities in both UWI Debe and in Tobago.
