Some 14 people in Tobago have tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, but the number of current active infections on the island continues to fall, with the latest total being 359 persons actively infected.
That’s according to the latest update from Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA), dated Monday 4th April 2022.
The report also notes that no new deaths from COVID-19 have been recorded in Tobago over the past 24 hours, so the island’s death toll remains at 260 lives lost.
The most recent death on the island was recorded on Sunday 3rd April 2022—one (1) unvaccinated person was recorded as the deceased on that date.
The Health Division also is reporting that 16 people currently are hospitalised with COVID-19. Thirteen (13) of these patients have not been vaccinated at all against the disease, while the other three (3) have been fully vaccinated.
The Tobago COVID-19 update for 4th April 2022 also notes that at present, the total number of people in Tobago who have recovered from COVID-19 since March 2020, now stands at 7,578.
