14 more persons lose their battle with COVID-19

14 more peo­ple have lost their fight with COVID-19, bring­ing the na­tion­al to­tal to 847 lives lost, ac­cord­ing to the lat­est up­date from the Min­istry of Health.

The up­date for to­day, Wednes­day 30 June 2021, al­so is con­firm­ing 265 new pos­i­tive cas­es of COVID-19, bring­ing the to­tal num­ber of ac­tive cas­es in the coun­try to 7,125 pa­tients.  These new cas­es are from sam­ples tak­en be­tween June 26th and 29th.

The Health Min­istry al­so notes in its up­date that the coun­try is mov­ing clos­er to hav­ing 100-thou­sand per­sons ful­ly vac­ci­nat­ed, name­ly per­sons in re­ceipt of two dos­es of a COVID-19 vac­cine.

As at 4 pm to­day, the num­ber of ful­ly vac­ci­nat­ed per­sons stands at 88,916. 

Mean­while the num­ber of per­sons in re­ceipt of their first dose of a COVID-19 vac­cine is 213,632.
