A 14-year-old is among three people charged for the brutal Aranguez home invasion last week.
The teen, of Block 22, Laventille, was charged with three counts of robbery with violence, two counts of assault with intent to rob, false imprisonment, and possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Sendell Neptune, 27, of Laventille, and 19-year-old Trevor Barton, of Nelson Street, were also slapped with the same charges.
The three accused were arrested when they were intercepted by police after allegedly attempting to flee the scene of a robbery at Ramlal Street, Aranguez, last Sunday.
They allegedly robbed and beat the family including a 15-year-old boy.
Police subsequently killed one of the bandits involved in the home invasion in a shootout. He was identified as Rakel Rahim Mason, of Eastern Quarry, Port-of-Spain.
