Po­lice ar­rest­ed 18 per­sons dur­ing an op­er­a­tion in the North­ern Di­vi­sion on Fri­day.

The ex­er­cise took place be­tween 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and in­volved of­fi­cers of the North­ern Di­vi­sion Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ment, North­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force North, North­ern Di­vi­sion In­tel­li­gence and Op­er­a­tions Unit, Ari­ma Charge Room, Ari­ma Traf­fic Branch and San Raphael Po­lice Sta­tion.

Po­lice con­duct­ed search­es in Brazil and Ari­ma. Four­teen per­sons were held in con­nec­tion with of­fences. Three men were ar­rest­ed for rob­bery with ag­gra­va­tion. One man was held for wound­ing with in­tent. One man was ar­rest­ed for rob­bery with vi­o­lence. Three men were held for home in­va­sion. Three oth­er men were ar­rest­ed for an­oth­er re­port of home in­va­sion. Four men were held for house break­ing.

In a sep­a­rate op­er­a­tion be­tween 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., of­fi­cers of the North­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force and Ca­nine Unit car­ried out a house search. One man of Sher­wood Park, Ari­ma, was ar­rest­ed in con­nec­tion with a re­port of rob­bery with ag­gra­va­tion.

In an­oth­er ex­er­cise be­tween 7:00 p.m. and mid­night, two men were ar­rest­ed. Po­lice said one is from Church Street, Ca­roni, and the oth­er from Ra­goo Street, Munroe Road, Cunu­pia. Both were held in re­la­tion to threats to pub­lic safe­ty.
