Two men were able to escape a gunman who shot at the vehicle they were travelling in Morvant on Monday afternoon.
Police said the men were travelling in a silver Nissan Sylphy on Ramier Trace, at around 2.50 pm when they noticed a man getting out of a grey Hyundai Accent which was parked at the side of the road near a mini mart.
The man pulled out a gun and shot at the car the men were travelling in.
The 29-year-old driver sped off, but noticed that he was being chased by the gunman who was travelling in the grey Hyundai Accent.
He drove onto Park Trace, off Industrial Lane as he realised the gunman was no longer in pursuit.
On checking the car, he noticed several bulletholes in the trunk, right side of his rear windshield, right headlight, front license plate and fender.
Officers of the Morvant CID were called in and are seeking CCTV footage of the shooting as part of their enquiries.
