Two men were able to es­cape a gun­man who shot at the ve­hi­cle they were trav­el­ling in Mor­vant on Mon­day af­ter­noon.

Po­lice said the men were trav­el­ling in a sil­ver Nis­san Syl­phy on Rami­er Trace, at around 2.50 pm when they no­ticed a man get­ting out of a grey Hyundai Ac­cent which was parked at the side of the road near a mi­ni mart.

The man pulled out a gun and shot at the car the men were trav­el­ling in.

The 29-year-old dri­ver sped off, but no­ticed that he was be­ing chased by the gun­man who was trav­el­ling in the grey Hyundai Ac­cent.

He drove on­to Park Trace, off In­dus­tri­al Lane as he re­alised the gun­man was no longer in pur­suit.

On check­ing the car, he no­ticed sev­er­al bul­let­holes in the trunk, right side of his rear wind­shield, right head­light, front li­cense plate and fend­er.

Of­fi­cers of the Mor­vant CID were called in and are seek­ing CCTV footage of the shoot­ing as part of their en­quiries.
