The murder toll increased yesterday, following separate killings in Petit Valley and San Juan.
In the first incident at Hummingbird Circular, Sparrow Drive, Petit Valley, a man identified only as Alvin was shot multiple times as he stepped out of his home around 2.15 am.
Residents reported hearing gunshots and arriving officers found the victim partially submerged in a drain. He was wearing a blue jacket, white jersey and brown pants. Three spent 9 mm shells were recovered at the scene.
And although a San Juan man was allegedly shot inside his home in the early hours of Wednesday, his body was not found until several hours later.
Dwight Walker, 21, of Percy Street, Laventille Road, San Juan, was reportedly killed by a man who had supposedly been hiding in a bedroom on the first floor.
Just like in Petit Valley, residents close to where Walker lived reported hearing gunshots and informed officers, who found nothing.
It was not until 6 am yesterday, when a 22-year-old male relative went in search of Walker after he failed to answer the phone, that his body was found.
Walker was found in his bedroom on the second floor, with a gunshot wound to the back of his neck.
