Two more unvaccinated people are the latest COVID-19 victims in Tobago, according to the update for Sunday 7th February 2022, released by the Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA).
According to the update, these are the only new deaths recorded on the island over the past 24 hours, and it brings the total to 236 lives lost on the island, since March 2020.
More people have tested COVID-19 positive—some 12 new cases were recorded, bringing the current number of active positive cases to 415.
The Division’s update also reports that some 21 people currently are hospitalised with COVID-19. Of these, 16 have not been vaccinated at all against the disease, while five persons have been fully vaccinated.
The update also notes that a total of 6,073 people in Tobago have managed to recover from COVID-19.
