Burglars made off with over $230,000 in cash and other items from the home of a teacher in New Grant.
Police said the 43-year-old woman left home around 7.25 am on Wednesday. She returned around 12.30 pm to find her home ransacked.
She discovered $230,000 which was hidden beneath her mattress missing.
Further checks revealed that her CCTV DVR, a $1,500 titanium watch, an Apple iPad valued at $6000 and a $7,500 PlayStation 5 console all missing.
Police believe the bandits entered through a window after cutting the burglar-proofing.
Officers from the Tableland Police Station are investigating.
