A 25-year-old woman with comorbidities is the latest COVID-19 victim in Tobago, according to the update for Thursday 6 January 2022, released by the Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA).
According to the update, hers is the only new death recorded on the island over the past 24 hours, and brings the total lives lost on the island to 216, since tracking the pandemic’s impact began in March 2020.
In terms of new positive COVID-19 cases—some 32 new cases were recorded, bringing the current number of active positive cases to 1,478.
The Division’s update also reports that some 1,436 people currently are in home isolation; with another 35 people in state isolation; while four patients are being cared for in ICU; and another three persons are recovering at a step-down facility.
