27 more people test positive for COVID-19 in Tobago

There are 27 ad­di­tion­al COVID-19 cas­es in To­ba­go, bring­ing the is­land’s cur­rent ac­tive in­fec­tions to 324.

That’s ac­cord­ing to the up­date for Wednes­day 2nd March 2022, re­leased by the Di­vi­sion of Health, Well­ness and So­cial Pro­tec­tion, in the To­ba­go House of As­sem­bly (THA).

The Di­vi­sion al­so re­ports there have been no new COVID-19 deaths in To­ba­go over the past 24 hours, which means the to­tal num­ber of deaths on the is­land re­mains at 244.  The most re­cent deaths were record­ed on Tues­day 1st March 2022.

Cur­rent­ly, sev­en (7) peo­ple are hos­pi­talised with COVID-19, four (4) of whom have not been vac­ci­nat­ed at all against the dis­ease, while three (3) per­sons have been ful­ly vac­ci­nat­ed.

The Di­vi­sion’s up­date al­so re­ports that at present, the to­tal num­ber of peo­ple in To­ba­go who have re­cov­ered from COVID-19 since March 2020, is now 6,753.
