Twen­ty-nine more peo­ple have test­ed pos­i­tive for COVID-19, re­ports the Min­istry of Health in its lat­est up­date. These 29 new pa­tients will be processed for ad­mis­sion at the dis­cre­tion of the Coun­ty Med­ical Of­fi­cer of Health (CMOH).

Ac­cord­ing to the Min­istry, as of this morn­ing—Mon­day 21 Sep­tem­ber 2020—the na­tion­al to­tal of ac­tive cas­es in T&T now stands at 2,063, with these ad­di­tion­al pos­i­tive cas­es.

Mean­while, some 130 COVID-19 pa­tients are still re­cov­er­ing at step-down / tran­si­tion fa­cil­i­ties, and 82 pa­tients are still hos­pi­talised.

The Min­istry al­so is re­port­ing that four (4) more COVID-19 pa­tients have been dis­charged from pub­lic health fa­cil­i­ties, and there have been 45 re­cov­ered com­mu­ni­ty cas­es.

Re­cov­ered com­mu­ni­ty cas­es re­fer to per­sons who were pre­vi­ous­ly COVID-19 pos­i­tive and in self-iso­la­tion at home, and sub­se­quent­ly met the dis­charge cri­te­ria and were re­leased from self-iso­la­tion.
