Twenty-nine more people have tested positive for COVID-19, reports the Ministry of Health in its latest update. These 29 new patients will be processed for admission at the discretion of the County Medical Officer of Health (CMOH).
According to the Ministry, as of this morning—Monday 21 September 2020—the national total of active cases in T&T now stands at 2,063, with these additional positive cases.
Meanwhile, some 130 COVID-19 patients are still recovering at step-down / transition facilities, and 82 patients are still hospitalised.
The Ministry also is reporting that four (4) more COVID-19 patients have been discharged from public health facilities, and there have been 45 recovered community cases.
Recovered community cases refer to persons who were previously COVID-19 positive and in self-isolation at home, and subsequently met the discharge criteria and were released from self-isolation.
