There are 29 new cases of COVID-19 in Trinidad and Tobago, even as more of those previously infected continue to recover and survive the disease.
In its update for this morning, Tuesday 22 September 2020, the Ministry of Health reports that the national total for active cases at present is 2,038.
The Ministry assures the 29 additional persons who have tested positive for COVID -19, will be processed for admission at the discretion of their respective County Medical Officers of Health (CMOHs).
Meanwhile, more people continue to recover from COVID-19, with six (6) persons being discharged from public health facilities.
In addition, there have been 63 additional recovered community cases, ie. those persons who were previously COVID-19 positive and in self-isolation at home and subsequently met the discharge criteria and were released from self-isolation.
