There are 37 additional COVID-19 cases in Tobago, bringing the island's total infections, since March 2020, to 6,940.
Of these, 330 cases remain active, with 15 persons currently hospitalised, according to the update for Wednesday 16th February 2022, released by the Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA).
Of the 15 people currently hospitalised with COVID-19, eleven have not been vaccinated at all against the disease, while four persons have been fully vaccinated.
The Division’s update also reports that the total number of deaths on the island remain at 238, since no new deaths have been reported since Tuesday February 8th.
At present, the total number of people in Tobago who have recovered from COVID-19 since March 2020, is now 6,372.
