There are 43 new COVID-19 cases in Trinidad and Tobago this morning, says the Ministry of Health in its latest update.
These new cases move the national total of active cases to 1,808 persons.
The Ministry also reports there have been no new fatal cases of the disease—the national toll remains at 76.
In other highlights from the Ministry’s update for today Friday 2 October 2020:
● Another 12 persons have been discharged from public health facilities. The national total is now up to 1,079.
● There are 88 recovered community cases, i.e. persons who were previously COVID-19 positive and in self-isolation at home, and subsequently met the discharge criteria and were released from self-isolation. The national total is now up to 1,650.
● The number of COVID-19 positive patients currently in hospital is 103.
● The number of COVID-19 positive patients currently in step-down / transition facilities is 12—at UWI Debe and in Tobago.
