Five per­sons were ar­rest­ed, and a firearm and quan­ti­ty of am­mu­ni­tion seized dur­ing on­go­ing an­ti-crime ex­er­cis­es con­duct­ed overnight in the South­ern and To­ba­go Di­vi­sions, the Po­lice Ser­vice has con­firmed.

3 held in South­ern Di­vi­sion

One of the ex­er­cis­es car­ried out on Mon­day (No­vem­ber 18, 2024) around 11:30 pm, in­volved of­fi­cers of the St Mar­garet’s Po­lice Sta­tion act­ing on a re­port con­cern­ing per­sons said to be armed with guns in the Pleas­antville dis­trict.

Re­ports are that the of­fi­cers con­duct­ed an op­er­a­tion in the Pleas­antville, which led to the ar­rest of a 33-year-old Pleas­antville man for pos­ses­sion of one Beretta pis­tol loaded with six rounds of am­mu­ni­tion.

Two oth­er sus­pects—a woman of La Brea, and a man of Corinth Hills—al­so were held dur­ing the ex­er­cise.

Rob­bery and lar­ce­ny sus­pects held in To­ba­go

A joint op­er­a­tion in To­ba­go in­volv­ing of­fi­cers of the Scar­bor­ough Po­lice Sta­tion and per­son­nel of the Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ment and To­ba­go Di­vi­sion­al Task Force, led to two ar­rests.

The ex­er­cise was con­duct­ed be­tween 3 pm and 7:35 pm yes­ter­day (No­vem­ber 18, 2024).

The TTPS re­ports that of­fi­cers re­ceived in­for­ma­tion that led them to ar­rest a 21-year-old male sus­pect in con­nec­tion with re­ports of rob­bery with vi­o­lence, com­mon as­sault, ma­li­cious wound­ing and pos­ses­sion of am­mu­ni­tion.

A sec­ond man—a 19-year-old of Mt. St. George—was held in con­nec­tion with re­ports of lar­ce­ny in a dwelling house, and house break­ing and lar­ce­ny.
