A 5.5-magnitude earth shook parts of Trinidad last night, sending social media into a frenzy.
According to the UWI Seismic Research Centre, the earthquake took place at 8.41 pm, with Port-of-Spain and Arima feeling the shake.
Social media users from Cunupia, Claxton Bay, San Fernando, Tacarigua, and Gasparillo also felt the quake.
There was another earthquake at 10.08 pm, this time of 3.8 magnitude. Many of the same areas reported feeling the aftershock.
There were no immediate reports of damage to any buildings or infrastructure.
Back on August 21, 2018, a magnitude 6.9 earthquake rocked Trinidad and Tobago. That earthquake saw several reports of buildings and properties being damaged.
