A Champs Fleurs cou­ple who went to view a car ad­ver­tised for sale in Chase Vil­lage was robbed of $80,000 in cash by two armed men on Tues­day.

Po­lice said the 44-year-old truck dri­ver and his 39-year-old com­pan­ion went to Ab­dool Av­enue, Chase Vil­lage, around 7.20 pm to view the pink and blue Nis­san Y12 Wag­on.

Po­lice said that as the man got out and stood look­ing at the ve­hi­cle, two armed men drove up in a gold Toy­ota Corol­la and con­front­ed the cou­ple.

The sus­pects opened the door of the vic­tims’ blue Nis­san A24 bus and grabbed the plas­tic bag con­tain­ing the cash, which had been on the floor in the back, be­fore they sped off. - ALP
