The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has issued a Yellow Level Adverse Weather Alert for Trinidad and Tobago, which comes into effect at 2 am Tuesday June 10th, ending at 4 pm Wednesday June 11th.
According to the TTMS, there is a medium (60%) chance of isolated heavy showers and thunderstorms from early Tuesday morning.
The most impactful weather is expected mainly over southern and eastern offshore areas tomorrow morning, then slowly extending across Trinidad and Tobago.
The TTMS has advised of gusty winds with varying intensities in the vicinity of heavy downpours.
Some impacts of this adverse weather include temporary traffic disruptions, street flooding and localised ponding, displacement of objects by gusts and difficulty anchoring marine craft.
The TTMS also noted that the possible impacts are expected in intervals and are not anticipated to be continuous over the period.
Motorists and residents in flood-prone areas should exercise caution and take necessary precautions to mitigate potential impacts.
