Trinidad and Tobago is now under an Adverse Weather Alert (Yellow Level), going into effect for the country at 10:00 AM Wednesday.
According to a release from the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS):
"A band of convergence to the east of Tobago is expected to be enhanced by favourable atmospheric features and generate broad areas of moderate to heavy showers as well as well as occasional thunderstorms. Rainfall over the past few days has resulted in saturated soils in some areas, particularly NE Tobago and northern Trinidad."
The alert will remain in effect until 4:00 PM for North-Eastern Tobago and Northern Trinidad.
The TTMS also warned that there is the possibility of landslides in the affected areas.
