A 27-year-old Ari­ma man has been ar­rest­ed for three out­stand­ing war­rants.

The ar­rest came as of­fi­cers of the Ari­ma Po­lice Dis­trict and Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ment con­duct­ed ex­er­cis­es be­tween 1:30pm and 4:30pm on Wednes­day.

The of­fi­cers fo­cused their ef­forts on mon­i­tor­ing sus­pi­cious in­di­vid­u­als and mo­tor ve­hi­cles at strate­gic lo­ca­tions with­in the Ari­ma Busi­ness Cen­tral Dis­trict.

Spe­cial at­ten­tion was giv­en to known crime hotspots in Zone Four of the dis­trict and ar­eas where known pri­or­i­ty of­fend­ers fre­quent­ly gath­er to en­gage in crim­i­nal ac­tiv­i­ties.

Dur­ing the ex­er­cise, in­tel­li­gence was re­ceived re­gard­ing two first in­stant war­rants that had been is­sued in con­nec­tion with three counts of Lar­ce­ny Trick of­fences.

The sus­pect was ob­served en­ter­ing the Ari­ma Po­lice Sta­tion, at which point he was ap­proached by the of­fi­cers and in­formed of the out­stand­ing war­rants and re­mind­ed of his le­gal rights and priv­i­leges.

He was then ar­rest­ed and is ex­pect­ed to ap­pear be­fore the Ari­ma First Mag­is­trate Court to­day.
