Two Morvant men are expected to be questioned and charged after they were held shortly after breaking into a Curepe bar early on Saturday morning.
Police said officers of the North-Central Division received a report of a break-in at a bar on the corner of Knowles and Rapsey Street around 4.18 am and went to the scene where they saw three men.
The bandits, on seeing police, ran in different directions, with two running towards a nearby recreation ground and the third running towards the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway.
Police coordinated a dragnet with help from the North-Central Division Task Force and the Traffic and Highway Patrol Unit, where they arrested a 22-year-old Morvant man who they found holding a bag filled with cash.
Shortly after, police found a second man, aged 21, walking on Eccles Street near the bar, who matched the description of one of the bandits.
Investigators visited the bar and noticed a hole at the side of the business place, believed to be the point of entry for the bandits.
Officers of the St Joseph CID are continuing enquiries.
