The Double Palm Inn, Arouca, was robbed of close to $30,000 in cash during the early hours of Monday, by two gunmen.
The incident occurred around 5.30, as visitors to the establishment remained in their rooms.
Police said the 35-year-old female cashier was carrying out her duties, when a loud bang was heard and two men, dressed in hoodies with their faces covered, came running in.
Both suspects who were armed, began hitting her on the back of her head, demanding whatever money had been collected over the weekend.
The frightened woman later handed over $27,900 in cash, along with her personal valuables including her cell phone and wallet.
The suspects later ran off.
Officers from the Arouca CID together with members of the Area East Task Force visited the scene and obtained CCTV footage as part of the investigation.
