Police are searching for bandits who broke into The Ark Preschool in Carenage over the weekend and stole a flat-screen television along with a container of half-eaten ice cream and a pack of microwave popcorn.
The 57-year-old volunteer principal who lives in Glencoe, arrived at the school around 6.35 am on June 30 and found some clothing strewn across the floor.
Upon checking, she found a TCL 32-inch black flat screen television, which had been mounted on the north eastern side of the classroom, missing.
Further checks revealed a bucket of Sundae Strawberry Cheesecake icecream valued at $50 was missing from the freezer; while a pack of microwave butter popcorn valued at $6, had been taken from the counter.
She alerted the police, who arrived and found that entry had been gained via a wooden door on the northern side of the preschool, which had been left unlatched.
Although officers of the Western Division Crime Scene Unit processed the scene, no workable prints were found.
