Ban­dits made off with over $10,000 worth of sweets on Tues­day af­ter they broke in­to a parked KC Can­dy truck.

Po­lice re­port­ed that around 12:30 pm, the dri­ver parked the marked truck, a white Isuzu five-tonne with an en­closed canopy on French Street, Wood­brook.

When he re­turned around 1:10 pm, he and the pas­sen­ger got in the ve­hi­cle and drove off. While dri­ving, they re­alised that the back door of the canopy opened. When they checked, they ob­served the lock­ing sys­tem tam­pered with and a quan­ti­ty of sweets and can­dies to­geth­er val­ued $14,036.00 miss­ing.
