As several state agencies—including the National Lotteries Control Board (NLCB), Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT), First Citizens Bank (FCB) and National Flour Mills (NFM)—withdraw their sponsorship of Divali Nagar, Blue Waters has increased its financial commitment to the annual cultural festival, becoming an official Diamond sponsor for its 40th anniversary.
The National Council of Indian Culture (NCIC), which organises the event, announced the strengthened partnership in a media release on Friday, describing Blue Waters as a longstanding supporter of Divali Nagar.
The increased sponsorship comes as the festival prepares to mark four decades of celebrating and preserving Indian culture and heritage, against the backdrop of the withdrawal of support from several state agencies.
The NCIC said Blue Waters had been part of Divali Nagar’s journey for many years, witnessing its growth into one of Trinidad and Tobago’s most anticipated cultural celebrations.
The organisation welcomed the enhanced partnership, saying it reflected the company’s continued confidence in Divali Nagar’s legacy and its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote culture and community.
The NCIC also expressed appreciation to Blue Waters for its years of involvement and for commemorating the festival’s milestone anniversary through its Diamond sponsorship.
Divali Nagar 2026 will run from October 30 to November 7 at the NCIC Nagar in Chaguanas under the theme, “Viveka – Discerning Truth in the Age of AI.”
