The body of a man, which was found along the seashore near the Paragon Sports and Cultural Club along the Western Main Road, Cocorite, on Tuesday morning, remained unidentified up to yesterday.
The victim, who was of African descent, was discovered by an employee from a nearby business around 9 am.
The man told police he was walking along the seashore when he saw the body lying face up.
Upon checking, the man saw blood oozing from both ears.
The victim, who appeared to be in his late fifties, was said to be slim built with a low greying hairstyle. He had been clad in a green jersey and black three-quarter pants.
One spent 9 mm shell casing was found close to the body by the police.
