Body found along beach in Cocorite still unidentified

The body of a man, which was found along the seashore near the Paragon Sports and Cul­tur­al Club along the West­ern Main Road, Co­corite, on Tues­day morn­ing, re­mained uniden­ti­fied up to yes­ter­day.

The vic­tim, who was of African de­scent, was dis­cov­ered by an em­ploy­ee from a near­by busi­ness around 9 am.

The man told po­lice he was walk­ing along the seashore when he saw the body ly­ing face up.

Up­on check­ing, the man saw blood ooz­ing from both ears.

The vic­tim, who ap­peared to be in his late fifties, was said to be slim built with a low grey­ing hair­style. He had been clad in a green jer­sey and black three-quar­ter pants.

One spent 9 mm shell cas­ing was found close to the body by the po­lice.
