Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a man whose body was found bound and chopped inside a grassy track off Penal Quinam Road on Monday.
Investigators said around 2:30 pm yesterday (July 14, 2025), a man tending his garden off an unnamed road about 500 feet from Mahogany Drive, Penal Quinam Road, saw the body lying on the ground with its feet, legs and hands tied.
Officers visited the scene and found the body about 20 feet off the right side of the unnamed roadway.
The deceased appeared to be of Afro-Trinidadian descent, dark complexion, medium build, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, with short black hair.
He was lying face down, wearing a green T-shirt and blue boxer shorts.
Police said there were chop wounds to the lower legs and lacerations on the body, in addition to the bindings.
