The body of a man discovered at Windy Hill, Arouca, yesterday morning is believed to be that of a Tunapuna resident reported missing earlier this month.
The victim has been identified as Subash Ranjitsingh, of Goolie Trace, Pasea Village, Tunapuna.
Police said they were alerted by a man who had gone to visit a friend on Cemetery Road, Arouca, around 8 am yesterday. Officers from the Arouca Police Station responded to the tip and found the body of an East Indian male lying in some bushes.
The victim, described as approximately six feet tall, slim-built, and brown in complexion, was barefoot and wearing a red T-shirt and long blue jeans. Police noted that he appeared to have sustained a gunshot wound to the left side of his neck.
