The body of a man dis­cov­ered at Windy Hill, Arou­ca, yes­ter­day morn­ing is be­lieved to be that of a Tu­na­puna res­i­dent re­port­ed miss­ing ear­li­er this month.

The vic­tim has been iden­ti­fied as Sub­ash Ran­jits­ingh, of Goolie Trace, Pasea Vil­lage, Tu­na­puna.

Po­lice said they were alert­ed by a man who had gone to vis­it a friend on Ceme­tery Road, Arou­ca, around 8 am yes­ter­day. Of­fi­cers from the Arou­ca Po­lice Sta­tion re­spond­ed to the tip and found the body of an East In­di­an male ly­ing in some bush­es.

The vic­tim, de­scribed as ap­prox­i­mate­ly six feet tall, slim-built, and brown in com­plex­ion, was bare­foot and wear­ing a red T-shirt and long blue jeans. Po­lice not­ed that he ap­peared to have sus­tained a gun­shot wound to the left side of his neck.
