The body of 19-year-old Samuel San­jay So­mai has been found float­ing off Mara­cas Bay. 

So­mai of El So­cor­ro was at Tyri­co Bay on Sun­day when he dis­ap­peared in the wa­ter around mid­day. 

 His body was spot­ted around 9.14 am by a com­bined team in­clud­ing mem­bers of Hunters Search and Res­cue Team led by Cap­tain Val­lence Ramb­harat, the Air Sup­port Unit of the TTPS led by Ag In­spec­tor Ron­ny Ram­pal­lard, Mara­cas Po­lice Of­fi­cers. 

 It was was float­ing about 150 me­tres off Mara­cas Bay.  The Hunters Search and Res­cue Team has been search­ing for him since he dis­ap­peared and held a vig­il through­out the night in­to this morn­ing.  

The body was re­trieved by the Trinidad and To­ba­go Coast Guard via boat and is cur­rent­ly on shore at Tyri­co Bay.
