Browne meets with Colombian Ambassador

Dr. Amery Browne, Min­is­ter of For­eign and CARI­COM Af­fairs re­ceived His Ex­cel­len­cy William Bush, Am­bas­sador of the Re­pub­lic of Colom­bia for a cour­tesy call last Fri­day at the head­quar­ters of the Min­istry of For­eign and CARI­COM Af­fairs. Browne ac­knowl­edged the fruit­ful co­op­er­a­tion be­tween Trinidad and To­ba­go and Colom­bia, es­pe­cial­ly in the field of agri­cul­ture.

Am­bas­sador Bush re­ferred to his affin­i­ty with the Caribbean and the Caribbean Com­mu­ni­ty, men­tion­ing his pro­fes­sion­al ties with and aca­d­e­m­ic in­ter­est in the Caribbean re­gion dat­ing back to the 1990s. He al­so in­formed that he comes from an area of Colom­bia which has a strong Caribbean in­flu­ence.

The meet­ing end­ed cor­dial­ly with Browne and Am­bas­sador Bush com­mit­ting to deep­en­ing and strength­en­ing re­la­tions be­tween Trinidad and To­ba­go and Colom­bia in the near fu­ture.
