Burnt remains believed to be those of missing Fyzabad man Uagnan Phagoo have been found in a yard not far from where he lived.
Uagnan “Phagoo” Ramjit, 55, was last seen liming with friends on the same property where the remains were discovered, along Salt Mine Trace.
The Hunters Search and Rescue Team, led by Vallence Rambharat, along with the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, led by Darryl Ramdass, began searching for him around 11 a.m. today.
Rambharat said that about 20 minutes into the search, they came across burnt mango branches in a yard about 50 feet from the road. Beneath the branches, they found charred human bones.
He said Ramjit was last seen on May 3, liming and cooking with friends at the property.
Officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region III are continuing investigations.
