Caribbean Airlines has announced the introduction of daily non-stop flights between Toronto, Canada, and Georgetown, Guyana, effective 1 July 2026, expanding its regional network amid rising demand for travel between North America and South America.
The enhanced schedule, which will take effect ahead of the peak summer travel period, is expected to provide passengers with greater flexibility and increased capacity on one of the airline’s fastest-growing routes.
The expansion comes as travel demand between Canada and Guyana continues to strengthen, driven by business activity, leisure travel and sustained family and diaspora connections. The airline said the daily service is intended to improve connectivity while supporting tourism flows, trade linkages and broader economic engagement between the two countries.
Acting Chief Executive Officer of Caribbean Airlines, Varma Khillawan, said Guyana remains a key growth market for the carrier and that the expanded service reflects efforts to match capacity with rising demand.
“Guyana remains one of the airline’s most important and fastest-growing markets. The introduction of daily Toronto to Georgetown flights reflects our commitment to meeting customer demand and strengthening connectivity between Guyana and North America,” Khillawan said.
He added that the increased frequency will offer travellers improved convenience across a range of purposes, including business, education, leisure travel and family visits.
The route links Toronto, Canada, with Georgetown, Guyana, a key hub for economic activity and international travel in the region.
Caribbean Airlines said the service also supports Guyana’s ongoing economic expansion and growing international profile, while facilitating travel for members of the Guyanese diaspora residing in Canada.
The carrier, which positions itself as the region’s leading airline, said it continues to invest in its network and fleet as part of a broader strategy to improve reliability and strengthen connectivity across the Caribbean, North America and South America.
