Cannabis, illegal items seized in Diego Martin

An an­ti-crime ex­er­cise con­duct­ed with­in the West End Po­lice Sta­tion Dis­trict re­sult­ed in the seizure of cannabis and oth­er il­le­gal items.

On Mon­day, be­tween 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., of­fi­cers searched the home of a pri­or­i­ty of­fend­er lo­cat­ed at An­drew Trace Blue Basin, Diego Mar­tin. Dur­ing the search, a quan­ti­ty of cannabis was dis­cov­ered and seized.

Of­fi­cers con­tin­ued their search at sev­er­al known drug blocks with­in the dis­trict, in­clud­ing Church Street Pe­tit Val­ley, Cor­ner Sa­van­nah, Ma­hogany Trace Bagatelle, and Ci­ca­da Ex­ten­sion, Pat­na Vil­lage Riv­er Es­tate. At each lo­ca­tion, cannabis and drug para­pher­na­lia, in­clud­ing scales, were found and seized. In to­tal, ap­prox­i­mate­ly 400 grams of cannabis with a street val­ue of $4,000 was con­fis­cat­ed dur­ing the op­er­a­tion.

The ex­er­cise was sanc­tioned by Se­nior Su­per­in­ten­dent Williams who re­ceived tac­ti­cal sup­port from the IATF and TTPS Ca­nine Unit.
